Story:
Text provided by the architects:
The single-family home M is located at the edge of the village of Golo, south of Ljubljana, in the midst of gently rolling hills. The view into this beautiful natural landscape is obstructed by neighbouring developments to the north-west.
For this reason, the classic floor divisions with living areas on the ground floor and bedrooms on the upper floor were waived. In order to facilitate an unobstructed view out onto the landscape, the living areas were elevated and can be accessed via a slightly inclined ramp.
The bedrooms are accommodated on terraces along this ramp. A further ramp leads to the ground floor, which is partially submerged into the ground, and in which the swimming pool is located.
The extensive and flowing structure weaves the building into the landscape without forming a visual or functional barrier.
